I've spent 17 years doing both, building the platforms my own firms use to crack cyber cases and proving them on real work. When I tell you what AI can do in an investigation, it isn't a theory. Most AI used in investigations was never built to be defended. I named and defined the standard for the AI that is: sourced, human-verified, documented, and disclosed, so it survives a courtroom challenge. It is the framework law firms, insurers, and investigators are going to need as the rules of evidence catch up to AI.
